For those who aspire to joining the Developing Player Pathway with Saracens and Essex, attached below is the criteria used by our club, based on Saracens guidance, to judge if a player is ready and capable of joining the programme.  It also indicates to players what they need to do in order to stay in the programme if they are lucky enough to be selected.

Hopefully this will help both players and parents understand, and make the most of, any opportunities they get. It also lets those who have not been selected up to now to understand what they should work on.  The DPP programme accepts new entrants all the way up to U16, so missing out in the early age groups doesn't prevent 'late developers' getting a chance.
